okee wrapping up with this, even though I didnt end up rendering him in Vray. I need to do more game res stuff again. https://www.artstation.com/artwork/lZeAJ
This looks so awesome :D It would be cool if maybe the ankles had a similair wrap to the forearms? They are looking like the clunkiest piece at the moment and that might help break that up. Looking forward to the texturing and such!
I'm wrapping up my highpoly so I grabbed a couple of shots of it in keyshot. I have a few small areas that I'll improve before I bake it down but feedback is welcome :)
personally I'd just do a tiling rock texture for the ceiling, you could build the head into the rock mesh and use vertex blending to transition from the tiling rock to the uniquely wrapped head.
Thanks TristanCarter, I took your suggestion and put some dangling bits of shielding hanging from the strap that wraps around the chest above the forelegs. What do you think? Sean
I think you should push your window'd wall back a bit and add in the wrap around hallway like in the concept - it'll add some much needed depth to your scene
aww, to bad to hear about the tower, love that concept. On the hammer, maybe you could paint in some AO on the wood where the metal parts wrap around so they feel more attached?
Sorry, no spec yet :P just a regular ol' Blinn shader for right now. I tend to do things like detail normals and specular after I've wrapped up the diffuse.
