I think the fracture tool was written in for Gears2. UT3 came out earlier. I found an actor class called GameBreakableActor and UTKActor, it allows for damage for meshes only. gonna test it with those.
yeah im not getting why you bothered unwraping it yet, add some ....... stuff details, woven carbon fibre bits, different material types, damage, you have the space use it
Here's another update on the goblin, mostly I've just added buckles. I also added some damage to the back of the helmet which I forgot to do on my previous pass.
I had some time to through together a damaged stop sign it not 100% but here is my take on it. I'm not say that it needs to be like this but this is how I would approach a project like this.
What a pity. You're moving from "making different objects using the same mesh" to "vertex paint damage". Self-fulfilling prophecy there. People won't read the paper because it's not innovative.
Thanks nick! I didn't really work much on the axe yet but I was thinking of a rusty, damaged kinda metal. For the pants I totally agree! Gotta soften those up!
@Polygoblin will do in the future thanks!, as for the wood are you on a bout the wearing/damages? of the wood(tried something new with it this time so might not have came out as good as I had hoped)
I wanna see crusty paint...damage..chipped metal....deep scratches, not only in the paint but on the metal itself(engrave wear) either washed out color scheme or shinny alloys
