Currently getting into substance painter, so that's mostly the direction I am taking with texturing. Ill have a look at Millenia's workflow and test out your suggestions by tiling. That might be the way to go. Thanks, Eric. Appreciated.
It depends on the engine or software doing the export. If you do it yourself and make sure all the edges are turned the way you want them and visible the engine will import it that way. Eric beat me to it with better information. Alex

Thank you everybody for your answers. Eric I could not post screenshots, sorry about that. I found that vertices were highlighted with the clean up tool, but that was just to indicate uv borders I suppose.
@Eric Chadwick certainly nice to have a stable gig but i was just commenting on the setup of the office really. it's not what i would call an inspiration for interior design. ....looks more like the rower's deck on a galley :)
