Hi, the issue comes from the snapping, you have the snap to vertex enabled (see the magnet icon on top of your 3DView). De-activating it should solve the issue. Welcome to Blender btw, switching modeling app is always kind of frustating, key is patience and documentation :)
Solution 1, use dilation on the texture. Possible solution 2, maybe the uvs are packed very tightly and you run into some precision issues. You can try enabling full precision uvs on the mesh. But using solution 1 should eliminate the issue for free.
Ok finally got an answer on crydev. r_SSReflections = 0 or r_SSReflCutoff = 0.5 those are the cvars. The top one completely disables it, and the bottom one defines the min gloss level that the RLR is enabled at. (cvar values from 0-1 translate to 0-255 in the gloss slider)
no it is not safe to say that. lot of people have posted exact same issues with 6xx cards. as for mudbox, not sure how else i can clarify it but basically with a 6xx card you wont see any realtime shadows when you enable shadows of a light in mudbox.
Did you run mesh clean up a few times? Also make sure theres nothing else selected in a sub menu under the action centers. If I remember correctly (dont have modo open in front of me atm), selection needs to be enabled.
it's short. To add squash to the CAT rig, you create max bones, Position/Orient the Root to the CAT joint you want squash on, Position/Orient the Tip to the next CAT joint in the chain. Then in Bone Tools Turn off Freeze Length; and enable Squash for the Root.
Made a quick fix, thanks stevston :) I'm having trouble with viewport 2.0. When I try and enable it, I get an error message saying my graphics card does not support it. I have a Nvidea GTX 680, is this card too old for 2.0?
Sure: Its all terrain layers, nothing special. Just POM enabled. No decals yet. In 9h Im back from work, so I'll make texture samples, so you will be able to see what textures Im using. Check thread tommorow.
Because of the money of course, I cannot blame anyone doing that. Of course for the passionate developer it will be not so easy to separate/handover there "baby". Think of it on a long term, if they can sell their business for a good amount of money, it enables them to create new things in the future much easier.
Thank you for your input ! :) Well, I have already enabled the AO settings in lightmass but I guess I didn't feel the difference. Even if I know that my AO is incorrect, this add have a great impact on the visual (more depth on the mesh mostly).
