I've thought about doing this before - only problem is I've customized my interface so much that I dont know how useful it would be. I'd have to combine any tutorials with my config's so you wouldnt be seeing the out the box version.
Wow you are right, I had a hard time even figuring out how to browse to the directory on my HD that contains the FX files... Seriously weird explorer interface. edit: anybody mind explaining the procedure to load shaders ? It's not really working out for me.
I did web-design and small programming jobs in the past. Thanks to that our pipeline now features some user friendly web interfaces :) Not sure if there's many other jobs that complement more artistic roles such as modeling though. Good luck - and don't give up!
I just bake stuff out in xNormal, zbrush interface and workflow is just too batshit crazy and convoluted sometimes. In xNormal select the "bake hi poly vertex colors" map, and also make sure that "ignore vertex colors" is unchecked on your hipoly mesh.
Well, maybe this will mean they can give Flash and Director some sort of useful interface. Flash's current UI (and general useability) seems like it was designed by some sort of sadistic clown with half a hand. At least Adobe products work the way you expect them to.
Exciting stuff. Unfortunately I bought Silo 1.42 before July 2005 so looks like I'll need to take the $59 upgrade option. Still worth it. Great that they finally sorted out the interface. Edit: The version I bought was actually Silo 1.3.
looks pretty solid to me. you wear gloves? creepy. well the cheeks look weird to me, i don't know what you look like. those forms look a little too seperated. i like your webpage interface graphics, btw.
I actually prefer zbrush ,I even like the interface . mudbox seems slower and buggier at the moment probably at some point I Will get to know mudbox better, but for now zbrush is my best friend huge learnng curve?, phhhah , learn the basics in an afternoon
EQ: groovy. How computer savvy is your father in law? What's he think of the interface? My tv is 1080i so I'm not worried about blueray, I tried it out on my ps3 and there's no noticeable difference between a bluray and an upscaled dvd on my tv.
SP1 is still eating up your resources? Otherwise I'm not sure why you mention it now :P This service pack is suppose to fix those issues. I would agree that there isn't much reason, other than to have a new interface/feel though.
