Hi there, Just render a diffuse map from rtt there is no magical way to do this, you can also paint it with software like SP or even in 3ds max canvas but i prefer SP workflow since you can paint all channels separately. Regards Peter
Another update on the demon creature...- the staff and head are placeholders... The story i came up with is to make him a swamp wandering witchdoctor who uses magic to amplify the electrical signals from the brain of the severed head he carries to light his way through dark swamps...
yeah normal maps aren't magic and while you will be able to get a lot from your high poly stuff that really sticks out and will change the sillouette (sp) of your model needs to be in the low poly mesh as well. I really dig the high poly for this though.
It's cool to have floating pieces that make it look like a magical element is holding it together but overall it's disconnected way too much. I think a better design would include a floating piece perhaps in the middle or top, if it's an interconnecting element. Otherwise there's just too much disconnection.
Lol - I think blaming the 'secret hidden magic transform' was my version of the age-old excuse 'well it works on MY machine' :) ParoXum, if you're able to send me your model I can have a look at why it's still not working - contact@slidelondon.com Rob
Haha awesome hawken. I've had things like this happen to me, I imagined getting with an old grade school crush and it magically happened. I read a book called "Psychocybernetics" and it basically says if you imagine things enough they become reality. USE THE FORCE LUKE
[ QUOTE ] For fun, I thought I'd let you guys know I just won a costume contest with this: ah, plenty o drinking there too. :P [/ QUOTE ] Is that the "magical disc of power" you are balancing on your right index finger? Cool gimp suit dude.
If you're thinking "I'm going to ask that girl out and she's going to say yes because I'm a macho hunk of man-meat" you're probably going to be more confident and that will help your chances... there aren't any magic brain waves shooting out and molding reality.
I really like the paladin just because it seems to have a lot of movement, making it very interesting. Like why are they casting this magic, I think it raises some questions which make the piece more interesting. The archer is also very good! Keep up the great work!
