Another question, since my character wil be wrapping and curving itself around a large rock with lots of vegetation can I consider the rock itself to be part of the character polygon limit? (vegetation will be part of the pedestal limit ofc)
Josh, how would you describe Substance Designer to someone who's been using dDo for a while? I still can't wrap my head around what Substance does, and I've seena chunk of their tuts already.
Going to call this one a wrap, pending any further critique or feedback of course! Great note with the crease zetheros, definitely comes across as a more sturdy helm. Going to try and get this weapon working before the deadline is up!
Not shure if this looks right ? . Trying to wrap my head around this in maya with AM Tools for the Vertex Normals. The Workflow is like: Selecting Hard Edges (30°) Bevel Selecting Faces by Angle Applying the Vertex Normal Script

Hopefully it won't take too long to wrap it up. :) U might be right...i could have worked a bit more on that...and some other stuff also...but for the single purpose of a texturing tutorial I think it's decent enough :)
And here's where we'll wrap up the day! Eye sockets still give me tons of trouble. The forms of this guys face are pretty tricky as well, trying to get it right.. Some anatomy issues still, but much improved!
11.16.13: Finally got some more time off to work on the head a bit more earlier this evening. Hoping to wrap up the entire form by months end. Please leave any comments, critiques or advice you have!
