The Make Something Unreal Contest doesn't mean that the mod scene is good, you know. Most of the MSUC winners are the same entries over and over again. There aren't many people competing unlike UT2004. UT2004 was a great game, UT3 just wasn't as good.

Looks totally sick! The face is still bugging me, but it's probably too late to get to that. I love how clean and solid everything is put together, from the hair to the jacket. Stick this guy into an engine with cloth sim (like UDK) and you have yourself a winner.

Unfortunately in the Real World. If you had a viewport grab versus a rendered radiosity, lighting, etc. of the same item. Whom do you think is going to be the winner to the viewer 9 out of 10 times? (Not dissing, just pointing out, its a bit more complicated than "good art").
