Shit. I've never seen a swizzle used like that and I'm actually sad i hadn't thought of it. Designer is an image processor - nothing more. It's not a VFX package, it's not a magic bullet - it's a platform for programmatically fucking with pixels. Can you generate animations for use in VFX scenarios? Yes. Can you create…
Arch viz is so nice! Like how you balance the compositions. Do you model all of the furniture yourself or is the bulk of the magic in the shader and lighting work? Always amazes me how you guys pull off these renders cause there's so many elements to balance.
problem is luke if you select each colour with the magic wand you get horrible ragged edges. is there a better way to select your colours and get clean edges like the alpha channel does? select by colour range still gives me slightly weird edges
I want to show another set in progress and to know what do you think about it. I have custom particle for the weapon, but just before I went to make screenshots dota stopped to override items_game.txt (Valve magic)... I hope that I'll fix it later.

-The grass looks like you just sticked it into the floor (which of course is what you did but should'nt be obvious). - there is a uv/texture seem at the right root. - The shrooms look as if they arent textured (are they?) - what are those glowing things...fireflys, magical flares ? good luck with your project :)
Try the slash2 tool, it's not magical but it does help a lot. The standard and clay brushes help out a lot too. Never use symmetry when sculpting cloth. Those video links posted here are great, you should definitely check them out to get an understanding.
Lovely stuff as usual Haikai. Is this 'Matt Dixon' secretly just your real name or alter ego? :D Rather than just make a 3D interpretation of the 2D, you always seem to magically make the concept art into a model lol, it looks so impressively alike!
I was using version 3.05. I updated nvidia drivers, still nothing. Then, I updated to 3.06 and everything magically works  So it's like, this options are in interface of 3.05 but they start working in 3.06  Anyway, now it works and I can have fun with it. Thanks
The first thing what you should do is to define the light an atmosphere in your picture before you go and try to render things out. For examble the glow of your fx magic ball will not really working because your background is to bright at the moment. Here a fast overpaint:
