Hello all :) Happy new roman calendar year! I have a question a bout the vanishing point filter in photoshop cs5. Is there a way for me to change the brush tip in there? to a flat calligraphy brush for example. Or any other way to bind a brush to a perspective point, if I want to make a bunch of little hanging tents over…
I have found that where flat polys meet, that specific edge must be on the outside of a UV Island, with plenty of space around it and not touching the edge of the 1x1. With a bit of messing around with the lightmap res this should solve these horrible shadowed seams. I understand that putting some indents on stuff also…
I agree with apollo580; i feel like both the hands and feet feel a little flat right now, and would definitely give them some more volume. i also feel like his profile is reading a little flat right now, and would maybe pull his brows and the bridge of his nose outwards its a good block in for the base, tho!
hi there I think you got some really good prop work here :) something I would think would help though (don't know the word) but the yellow on the shotgun looks a bit flat, maybe you could put those anti slipping surfaces on the handle etc (the dot ones) in the normal map, I think that would be a nice break in the flatness.
right now i'm not liking the green question marks, they are flat and hiding that brick, like its a flat piece of geo laying overtop of it. maybe go into that decal texture and small bit of transparency. really digging the lighting now though. also, that sheet is bugging me a little. the threads are too big, they should be…
Okay so I've solved it. For anyone else having the issue, it was pretty simple, having less flat planes works wonders, also editing the sub surface textures to have much more brightness and saturation helps to reduce underside darkening. For the most part I just didn't realise how much of the issue was using a flat plane!…
The overall design of the gun is way too flat and almost everything looks like the same width. Compare this to other guns or more real world guns, there's maybe 50% of the general forms that are flat when viewed from the side, but the rest is large slopes, curves, and angled. The 3d model just looks like it was designed…
Was going for high desert area. Scattered shrubs along the flats would have really made it work better. With time I would have liked to take it from the flats up higher in elevation. This would be foothills at best. Green is too saturated though. That area would be like steppe bushes, josh trees or juniper in reality.…
Minor crit: Berets don't have a black ring of rubber at the bottom, they have a black cloth part with a rubber band going through it (the cloth therefore is a bit thicker at the bottom), if I remember the thing correctly (though I'm pretty sure it wasn't a big flat rubber band on the bottom). You can add small folds to the…
is that a shaved head with a mullet? or a flat pony tail? nice! you might want to use the ' ' tag when posting, we are a lazy bunch and prefer not having to click each picture link. Post your wires and flat, and most seem to agree that screenshots from your perspective viewport looks better than a blurry render with a…
