Most likely the exporter is triangulating the model, .3ds is a pretty bad format for going between programs in general since alot of them impliment it differently or whatnot. .obj has always worked pretty well for me.
Can't call it amazing, but neither is it bad. The only thing that bothers me is... (1) Below the moon, a bit to the right. The thick puffy cloud just dissolves to the right, then you see the night sky and stars. I can't ever remember seeing those type of clouds doing that.
Been a while working on this guy, and this new female character the concept of the female is by RockD. (I'm super bad at updating) Currently doing retopo of the alien/detail pass then after that gotta do the same to the female and fix a few anatomy things on her.
I have the same problem, when I try right clicking for the quad menu the part which is occupied by the the quad menu is frozen and the part is isolated on the screen I tried , updating the graphics driver (GTX 210), D3d to nitirious everything that I got when I did some researching.

Well, i think it's not so bad to see the polycounters preferences. I dare to say that Max would be the most used between all the users on this board. Mine, as some of you may know is Modo. Is the best for me, the faster in viewports, and i tried hexagon and silo. A poll would be nice. My 2 cents
