So how are you liking it so far? I find that playing with the clay really relaxes me and is a huge and very nice change from 3d or any computer based work. Keep at it. There are a few sites out there that are really helpful and awesome with kick ass work on them. Check out. http://www.statueforum.com/index.php
give his back a bit of a curve or pose him like your reference warcraft orc, right now hes inbetween a normal relaxed sculpt and a pose so hes sort of bent forward and unbalanced and uncomfortable to look at. The muscles are coming along well theres room for improvement on his back muscles/anatomy
No thanks. I already know which way is Z. Also, XSI has pelt mapping, remember? When Autodesk made a big deal about Max getting pelt mapping to convince users to upgrade. We got a free plugin soon after. Not that it's needed. Unique UV's and Relax do rather well.
Well.. Sometimes we need to give up modeling and relax for a moment so I decided to open a new thread for coctail/shot tips. I'm the first one, so here we go. If you're in a bar/night club, met a nice girl and forgot to brush your teeth buy this one. Itsemurha - (engl. suicide) 2 cl Pernod 2 cl Cr
Finally finished working on this. This is an arch viz piece ive been adding to on weekends for a few months now. although its less of an arch viz project as it is a personal playground. i got lazy at the end and skipped some small details like a dof cam and a picture view mode but ill probably add that stuff in once ive…
I've used CC4 for characters on an indy game 2-3 years ago. It's pretty solid for the rigging and posing stuff. I had short turn arounds on it and managed to learn just enough of the tool in the time I had and do all the related art tasks to do characters completed in UE including skinned and rigged to the UE manny. I'd…
Interesting situation. I can kind of relate to that  I left QA way back. I was under contract (I want to say I had 3-4 months left on my contract), and I put in my 2 weeks. It was under the agency, and not under the studio. I remember my reasons were for "personal reasons," but it was that I wanted to work on my…
Hey karytsukino, thank you very much for the incentive and tips. Indeed, I should have paid more attention to the anatomy. It doesnt have much else to appeal. Although it was kind of hard to find a good stretched but relaxed arm reference. Already done some changes: [IMG][/img] [IMG][/img]
I demand lossless desktops. OK there I said it, everyone else can relax now. So you know you pretty much have one of the most unique looking things that's been made in UDK. I hope someone from Epic sees this and gets behind it. It's more than worthy.
This is looking a helluva lot better! You may wanna relax the vertical edge loops on the forehead though. Try to keep spacing even in organic models (except where it will deform a bit). Even topology also helps a ton when zbrushing. You're redeeming yourself a bit here, so keep it up mate.
