Have you thought about adding overhangs to the buildings? A lot of buildings tend to have awnings or other similar pieces which extend over the sidewalk; having some of these available would be helpful when it comes to breaking up the flatness of the frontside of the buildings. It's not gimbal lock, the problem is with the actual gizmo... See? The red axis is missing altogether in this one...but on other limbs, the axis will have moved closer to another axis, making it look like a spherical pie chart or something :D Anyone come across this before? I'd recommend switching the HDD out for something faster (either ssd or hybrid), even if it is smaller. These days storage is cheap, and easily upgradable. But opting for a higher quality/less mechanical drive on the outset can really extend your computer's shelf life as well as make it run faster. I'd also switch Windows… -

Painter is 149 for the Indie License while Pro is $590. Is there a difference? From what I can tell just the amount of money you are allowed to make as an indie-$100K. Same for Designer, $99 for Indie and $590 for Pro. Can anyone confirm the difference extends beyond these Stand Alone prices and the revenue you're allowed… -

great. A suggestion from me, would be to get the right hand more defined. he is obviously curling his mustache, but i think you could exaggerate the gesture of his arm a little more, just to make it interesting. perhaps extend the arm into the foreground, as if he's tugging on it into the curl around his finger. it looks a… -

You can still set hotkeys for polyboost functions, they're just listed oddly. They don't show up under the Graphite Modeling Tools category where any logical person would expect to find them, but under the Main UI>All Commands list, all of the PolyDraw functions are now listed as "PolyDraw Drag", "PolyDraw Extend", etc.… -

It's an interesting idea. You get a bit of surrealism in colourful platformers like Rayman Orgins or unashamedly silly titles like Serious Sam, but it's not common to see it used to any great extent in more "serious" games. I guess Silent Hill delves into surrealism to some extent and is all the more creepy for it. -

Seconding "more file types". I've recently switched from PNG to SuperPNG (same extension, different format) and qSave doesn't work for me anymore (I'm assuming it's looking for the extension by name, not "EXT"). Please please add support for more, as I'm kind of helpless now without it. ^_^ Thanks in advance! -

Glad to help! The usual way is to save the material in the startup file, but it won't exist in older files and I don't like the clutter, so I use the NodeCustomBuilder add-on for these cases. You'll still have to add and name the material before loading the node tree, but extending it to fully generate a same name material…
