Hooly crap this is awesome. That reference is the bomb and you really nailed it, nice work. Before you move on i'd get that sucker in UDK imo and let lightmass work some magic on it. It's good now, but it'll really come alive with some AO and nice lighting.
Haha, perhaps that is why in the trailer the characters do 30 foot flips while shooting out magic arrows and effortlessly killing dragons. If low fantasy was what they were shooting for they failed miserably. This is the new shit, gotten off an RPS ad mere minutes ago:
I've always liked the Moonwalker skit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2CiKj_vwSq0&search=consolevania I'm going to try to track down the 'Hitler - Pimp my Console' sketch. Edit - As if by magic: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yp8nk6IKVXA&mode=related&search=consolevania
keep in mind, this is based off the same theories that necessitated the creation of some invisible magical "dark matter" filling 80% of the universe for them to actually fit what we've observed. They're already observing things in deep space that appear to move faster than light.
yea Pior did you really spend the time?!? thanks i watched the whole thing and still no magic hotkey to open up the color picker menu :( . can i script that in somehow? tried to find a way in the Ctrl+alt+Shift+K menu but no dice
HL2 was full of dispensable bad guys and got to the very predicable point with how to take care of them. If you've never played Mass Effect, it's like an RPG shooter. And, you don't have to shoot to win if you make a strong magic/tech-based character.
@Japhir - magic of google's algorithm at work. It's more relevant than the Public Service ads because it is actually targeting something relevant to your location. They only have so many game related ad providers so at some point they go for the easy local sell.
Something handy to make note of. Zbrush saves every subdivision level of your mesh, and if you bring the mesh back down to a lower subdivision and save the tool it will generally create a smaller file. Not sure how that works out other than programming magic, but it's nice.
This is a really great thread. The heavy at the beginning is magical. XD I am not much of an animator but I just wanted to point some nice stuff the check out. I'm sure most of the people here know of the site, but for those who don't. http://www.11secondclub.com/
Mmmh i see no Lifelink. Only a faster export/import way. Lifelink for me is more like: "select a Mesh in Gameeditor mode" "push the Magic Button" "The scene change to Modelling Mode and the current game environment is rendered maybe as reflection actor in a sphere in realtime.
