Maybe it's doing some kind of dithering there? The color issue could be a problem of Windows/Mac. I can't tell. I was just referring to the 16-bit discussion coming up. PNGs can't have 16 bit in Toolbag at the moment and the TGA loader is also working to correctly in toolbags current version and can't have 16 bit, either.…
[ QUOTE ] Just hold off like 24, I want to see it all not piece meal. [/ QUOTE ] That's the mentality that hurts LOST's ratings! I'm fine with the 16 episode seasons though. That's 16 new episodes, back to back. A 24 eps season has a few months of repeats, while hiatus takes place. I hate that. Makes it confusing to the…
When making a loading screen I am supposed to make 16:9, 16:10 and 4:3, right? Is it stupid to just apply black edges to the 4:3 one? Because it's ridiculously small and it will give me alot of work to repaint the entire thing to fit in there. EDIT: Got an answer. You just import the 16:9 and the importer crops it for you,…
Bake out a TIFF and convert to TGA, you should get much better results. I don't think there is such a thing as a 16 bit (per channel) Targa. You may have saved it out as 16 bits per pixel, which is different if I'm not mistaken. You should notice that if you switch your image mode in Photoshop to 16 bits per channel, you…
Just to clarify as well, whether an image is 8 or 16-bit is irrelevant for knowing whether something should be sRGB or not - sRGB is a colour space (how the values of the colours are interpreted), and 8/16/32 or whatever is a bit depth (the precision of the color values).
2300511685 Overall it looks like you're already on the right track. It really just depends on what the model is for. If it's for games: the brake has a very rough surface finish and it's a very small part that's typically further away from the player's main point of view. So the current high poly is more than passable…
but even on a high end system 16 of the 32 gigs would never ever get used. When it does some day get supported 16 more will be even cheaper to buy - until then you might as well just fold up the 100 dollars and plug that into the motherboard.
Use the toUpper built-in function
toUpper (bit.intAsHex(aPixelColor[1]))) to:fStream --small tips to make code clearer (or shorter to navigate into), if you just have one line of code in a loop, you can write on one line:
if (aPixelColor[1] < 16) then format "0%" (toUpper(bit.intAsHex(aPixelColor[1]))) to:fStream
else…
Hello everyone, I'm recently digging through web to find some answers and ask few questions about bit depth in substance painter export. Recently topic about https://www.allegorithmic.com/blog/tomb-raider-texturing-movie-hero-asset-rising-sun-pictures and my personal test bring me a thought abut sense of using 16bit…
You know, this summer I unironically considered signing a contract with russian military. What? 50/50 chance I can zero my comrades and cross the front to join the proper side in a paid living I might actually enjoy. Odds much less with LinkedIn. This is your brain on CG. This is how psychotic you get when your craft of…
