Thanks for the link Eric. Seams that World Machine is very popular around here :D I'll definetly take a look. Great result, MisterSande! Is anyone familiar with Maya and DEM files?
@chrisevansart Thanks man! @Eric Chadwick Yeah, i tried vieuwing on mobile phone, and was indeed painfully slow. reuploaded with 1920 res. Should be ok now. Thanks for your help!
1) We have a dedicated section for Allegorithmic. Moving this there. 2) Search! https://www.google.com/search?q=garbage+substance+designer (the Beach Debris Pile by Eric Wiley is a great resource)
@Eric Chadwick Thanks, I am slowly progressing/making assets. Still planning out what assets i`ll add in though Sculpted a pillar that will also fit in the environment.
Hey thanks Eric. yeah good eyes on that stuff. Im still trying to find a nice balance in the style. ill Post some of my reference at some point here for sure!
@Eric Chadwick Oh dang, thanks for the tip! I'll definitely keep that in mind for the future, I totally spaced on that one. Went ahead and uploaded a lower res of the moss mother at least!
Hi Eric, Thanks for replying. I'm actually using a targa but Ddo converts it to a png. I'm on the road this morning. But will be back later this afternoon and will try the sample file then. Thanks again. -Brandon
He said he was working with maya, Eric. But I agree with flat geometry shading badly, not sure how you could change it in Maya though. I'm totally new to maya.
Eric: you might also want to put it into your signature, so people see it on the forums as well? It seems to me that nobody can claim ownership of the wiki as much as you can!
HAHAHA! We are always passing around pics like this at work. When I hit the dudes with this site, I'll be set for my entire career at this studio! Awesome find, Eric. -caseyjone
