It's worse in the vfx/tvc industry. Extremely tight deadlines, ridiculous demands and not enough man power. I'm glad I got out of it :) -

It looks like they're using photos of explosions. You can get VFX libraries of images - which is where they probably got these from. -

dunno in games, but in vfx shop could lose contract with the movie studio/ip owner because of that.it definitely not compliment. but again probably in movie revealing story/footage is super big deal. -

Yes, it's coming to Linux. I don't think it's aimed at personal users, though. Lots of biiig VFX houses run on Linux. Also makes for cheaper, faster, easier render farms, too. -

Looks alright, aside from that lightsaber. Not a big fan of Abrams though, everything he touches has this sort of whiff of fanboy commercialism. But I'll keep an open mind, VFX looked good.
