Thanks Nostradamus! Some great reference in that link...so good I have to rework the gas tank! I'll track down that movie too;) B NOTE: On further examination these are images from WWII, of Japanese flame throwers...while good reference I think the flamethrowers of WWI were different.
The image I think is pretty representative of my inspiration and I see what you mean about eh intensity of the red tiles. I'll keep this in mind as I continue forward. Thanks so much!
@Eric Chadwick Thank you for the feedback! I really get what you mean about the textures. I always wonder how best to group my UVs. I'll take this into consideration going forward!
Yep, that's my fault. The tank I made has a somewhat unusual v-shaped hull, and the swing arms on the renders above got hid behind track and support rollers. Guess, I do need some more work on suspension texture, and some better renders. Thanks for looking!
Yeah I started using floating geometry a little late into the project. The wheels are now edited and counts have lowered. I am yet to low poly the tank tracks, when this has been completed im sure the poly/tri count will be dramatically lower. Thanks for the above, any more comments?
Hi! I'm leading the development of a single player RPG inspired by Ragnarok Online. We're looking for a stylized 3D environmental artist to join the team. If you're interested and would like to know more, please send me a short introduction and a link to your portfolio. Thanks!
Revisited my light asset to make the edits that you guys pointed out. The sketchfab model in my initial post has been updated to reflect the changes. @Eric Chadwick - I added some edge wear and rust to match up with your images. Thanks for pointing this out! @loon27 - I took your advice and also reduced a bit of the AO…
