Throwing my hat in for Dropbox as well. It gives you more than enough space on the free account (you can also harass friends, family, and strangers to join up for more), and it has about the simplest interface imaginable. Geddit.
Max has a 'Make TF2 Item' button. It's hidden behind the interface, locked away. Spend $3000 and 4 years of college, and they'll teach you to unlock it. Those who finish the quest get a job at Valve. Good luck.
so far man I love it... is there anyway you can have it open/enabled with unwrap modifier active, would be nice to cycle through smooth group selections using your polysmoother interface then adjust uvs while in unwrap...
You can do it either through the source list in the projection modifier, there should be a button to "add" or "select". Or, you can do it through the RTT interface when you go to "pick" your highpoly, simply select multiple objects.
This definitely occurs for me more often on low-res meshes. In some cases when I just can't fix the texture in Mudbox, I'll pull it into Photoshop and 3D paint there. PS works well despite the clunky user interface.
Aw man, I commented pretty early on that facebook post about me doing my uni work using the Beta. I could have converted a lot of students who prefer photoshops interface over substance painters ;)
That money you could use towards a dx11 ati card with a 256bit interface. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150481 If you add the heatsink cost with the price of vid card you choose, above is near the same total.
Hmmmm. Never dealt with tagging before. Maybe try looking at the user interface tutorial video here: http://www.udk.com/documentation I remember it going over this process. Maybe it'll point out something you're not doing right?
The PS3 interface for Netflix is so much improved too. Plus HD and surround sound before the Xbox has it is a good win for a while. Now why can't I just get a subscription for instant view only and not silly discs?
I tried this out on lotekk's DS. The screen res is actually more workable than I thought, and the interface is a pleasure to use. Feel wise, it's a lot like Open Canvas. Had a lot of fun in the 15 mins that I used it.
