If you want my two cents, I think that too much of the area around these corners is visible. Covering some of these corners with furniture or props such as the sign is a great way to give the scene a more interesting shape. This would also suit the kind of atmosphere you're trying to achieve. Too many obvious right angles…
Hi Ayhankin! Congratulations for your work! I have just a few considerations regarding two things, on his feet maybe you should work a little better on the shapes, looks too spherical to me, and about the hand holding the hammer, looks too tight, as the cilynder was not there to be hold... Regarding the colors and the…
I've a Wacom Bamboo. Saves me from getting claw fingers. I wouldnt worry about the size too much I've an A5, and it works fine across two monitors, you get nice fluid strokes. Too big and you end up moving your arm around loads and having no room on your desk.
I have to admit that didn't planned to create this character at first. It all just started with some simple clothing in maya and some sculpting practice in mudbox but I decided to take it further in the last minuted and I ended up sculpting a body, the hair and eyes. Now my problem is that I am stuck on what to add next .…
I don't really like Christopher Nolan's films too much in general. Inception and Memento, two films of his that I really like, are almost entirely held up by the cool concepts they are built around, not really the execution as much. As for The Prestige, which I also like- David Bowie. Anyways, I just came back from…
At first glance it looks pretty good, but if you look closer in detail you can see quite a lot of differences from your reference. - First off, like Theklu said, it misses the damage from your reference. The scratches give a lot of realism to the end result. I especially like the scraped off square pattern at the bottom of…
Thanks a lot guys! DnS: I totally see what you mean about the neck, I'll see what I can do. Low Odor: Yep, I was looking at it and a piece of me still digs the swooshy boobs. After talking to the client last night, I think they do too. Kaburan: Thanks! Firebert: I am glad you dig! But yeah I was going for a more sort of…
Yeah, MightPea and RazorBladder were both Polycounters I knew were there. May have been one or two others too... bit of a shame :( I'm not too surprised since it seems like one of their main customers was GRIN, who went earlier this year, and I guess that meant a lot of work dried up for them :/
Thanks for the critique Brian. I completely agree. I had the opposite problem earlier where the foreground was a bit too far away where the main focus (the structure area) was a bit too small so I pushed everything forward a few feet. Ill see if I can find a happy middle between the two.
Just to see how it looks, I combined your first two paintovers and added some redness here and there; I'd say the green version you currently have is indeed a bit too much, but green is still a nicely sickening colour. But then, I really like the colder versions you made too. Great work!
