Yeah it's a tiling texture, they use 9 different textures for that building, half of them tiling. Also they use vertex painting or some sort of mask to break up the tiling and add the paint wear.
awesome, IGN gave it a 9, apparently its pretty fun. pretty funny to go back and look at people's freak out response on the 1st couple pages saying its not ssx at all.....
played about 2 hours, good to be back :) Also seen the PS3 version tonight, no comparison to the PC version which is a shame. Absolutely well done A4 congrats  9/10
it's just a basic speedtree model (9 to be exact) as far as the flooring , they are elongated boards, I will mess around with it but not sure how to make a elongated texture not look that way but i will give it a try and thanks.
--Update-- 9-15-16 Basically restarted the model. I feel it looks a lot better now, but the eyes and temples look off. Maybe the cheek bones too? Advice always appreciated!
They're not, 3 out of 12 responses suggested that the tri count was a bit high, and the remaining 9 responses stated that it's a subjective matter and not a big deal. Everything seems perfectly chilled out to me...
Just got done catching up on all 9 pages of this thread. This is one of those threads that both makes me feel like shit as an artist and inspires me. Awesome work dude.
yeah it works from max 9 to 2012 here is a video showing more stuff [ame=" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-I0XSgfiuh4"]New modeling system sneak peek - YouTube[/ame]
Wow, Destructoid gave it a 3.5/10 Gamespot gives it a 6/10. Both blaming the lack of innovation. Yet both websites give Call of Duty (12th-14th in the series) 9's. :/
Not sure how old, but it was for a HL1 mod so between 98 and 2002? Now I animate 9-5 (should really put some animation up sometime) and do environments on the side
