Thank you for all your feedback! :D I've no idea why my textures are always so blurry. I've gone back to working on the tavern. This time I've decided a more simple approach, using modular assets. I'm going to keep the old tavern as a spare house (there's three separate house models). Here is the old tavern and new tavern.…
I just finished uploading all three colour variations to the workshop, you can see them here: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=689047054 And the pictures: Thank you all who shared feedback, helped me on improving the design, who commented nicely and to everyone who just came back and gave it a look. :D…
Yes true you cant make too complex stuff in CS either, but im aiming for simple box like stuff typical old sci fi pannel work. At this point im not worried about normals at all, but the think you mention "normal to AO" from nDo might be my solution. by interesting shapes I hope you mean Greeble meshes :D , that my friend i…
Edgefall - Thanks man, Ya his jaw is really deformed on one side so I worked it more below. Hey everyone so I ran int some crap on the side that kind of held me back when it came to working on this, but now Im free so im going to push through with this guy, heres what I got for his face still pushing the wound aroun the…
Yea, Lee3dee's link is very much still a rumor as far as I've heard. I received an email last night, as I'm sure a bunch of the rest of you did, saying that sony was not sure if credit card info was compromised, but it was a possibility. I haven't read through this entire thread, so I don't know if anyone has posted any…
Looking at your portfolio some more, try getting your Without a Soul into a game engine. I'm not sure if those are sub-d objects, if yes, then bake them down to low-poly. That could be a potentially beautiful scene with the lighting coming through the windows like that.... You've got it modeled, just push the textures some…
You know how I learned? Through teaching myself. By using the internet and the vast amounts of free tutorials. I have seriously learned more about game design reading blogs off of Gamasutra than 11 weeks in level design 101. Really think about it before you fall into student debt. You have all the resources you need right…
spark - looking sick man! but whats up with the fish? does the robot some how eat fish and is drawn to it to make it walk foward? It does have the same vibe as the robot from district 9 in the torso and face areas I think. Other than the fish throwing me off though, I like it! Really looking forward to the 3d model!! :D…
That is not quite true...the Reset XForm Utility takes the current Transformation Matrix (minus the Position data) and copies it into that XForm Modifier. Then it resets the Objects TM back to the defaults, effectively turning and scaling the object...say you create a cube and rotate/scale it, reset XForm and then delete…
hurrrr. ok vertex chameleon has a nice gradient tool: problem is it applies per object, and I need it over a bunch of objects (did I mention that :D ) If I combine them all, works fine, but I need them seperate. seperate command clears vert colour. how handy! I can't believe it still fuckin does that also, trial is only 15…
