Really bummed - I tried to sign up for the workshop in December, but I came in at the very end and the registration took multiple days to confirm, and I couldn't get in to see your videos. Any chance they'll be released separately or that you'll do more tutorials / training independent of Gnomon? I was really hoping to see…
Just say this about thirsty bear- thought it was pretty amusing http://sf.funcheap.com/organic-beer-tasting-workshop-thirsty-bear-financial-dist/ Should we set an official time? Maybe like 7? I don't know what a good time would be for everyone. Also - I wanted to bring attention to this thread…
Bioware gave an amazing lecture on character design at Conceptart.org & Massive blacks latest workshop, about just how much work actually went into creating detailed characters and settings that we're very original. The concept artists worked very, very hard on this one. Im proud of them, this game will definetly put them…
Thanks, I think you're right. I'll keep that in mind next time I go back to it or work on an armored hero. That or I can try tightening it up a bit. Finished a couple of sandking head concepts. I just noticed the one on the left looks more like a jakiro head, haha. I don't think he's in the workshop yet though!
-Get a tablet, and start painting something EVERY DAY. Doesn't have to be much - just paint something every day. -Find some figure sketching -course (croquis) you can attend. This type of sketching is great for learning how to draw poses and shapes. -Do one of those online "workshops". Many of them cost money but maybe…
Activizzard vs Electronic Mytharts art comp!!! dark and gritty fantasy vs hello kitty rainbow fantasy. I think between these too companies with such similar properties and considering they both comprise 90% of polycount members this would be fun. big congrats pior! we need to hang out more, gnomon workshop was a blast.…
Yeah, it was totally sweet. I loved Jim Henson workshop since I was a kid, so it was a real dream getting ultra high res images of every inch of the wildthing suits as they where being fabricated to work from. Those guys just rock, rock, rock. Well I am zipping my mouth about the rest till the film is out.
OK so I kept the skull but tried to make it look better P: On the low poly model, I removed some tris from blades and the bone so I could add geometry for the skull. ZBrush: 3ds Max: And the in-game shot: Thanks a lot for all the feedbacks! Any CnC are welcome ^^ On the Workshop:…
Wow, thanks for the great comments Tully! Just the kind of thing I was looking for. After the Dominance War I think I'll do a bunch of studies to try and capture what your talking about. And yeah, I was at the CA.org workshop. Were you one of the group of like 3 or 4 polycounters I was talking to for a while? Good to talk…
And that makes sense. So from an artist perspective I might think this; If it means a good piece of content gets into the game after having been stuck in workshop limbo forever then why not? If it provides you with a way to get your items into the game and thats your end goal and for whatever reason that hasnt happened…
