Decided to go for a more stylized look. I think about texturing him as some kind of brass statue. Also a good opportunity to have a look a Maya quad draw for retopology. -

ive had an idea for a lobby/main hall that is in the same sort of look like this for the layout, not the colours or statue in the middle i have other ideas for that, might use this for reference for the layout mainly. -

Looking up anime statues was a huge help thanks for suggesting it Haikai. Here's the updated model. I'm starting to feel happy with the direction this is head but any other nitpicks would be appreciated. -

Temporary I put this project "On Hold" status due to the Riot Games Art Contest 2014. I'm going to participate, can not miss this contest. After that I'm planning to continue this project. -

Re: Got a freelance job, but it's just odd how they want to do things.
No contract, no work. Quite simple. Learnt early on, people will take advantage of your freelance status if you don't put certain things up front when agreeing to do work. -

Fixed-up the ears and refined the body to more closely match my photo reference. Next I'm going to create a stand for the model, like those antique statues often have. -

last i checked on the forums there, there was tons of art that was stolen from people i knew. the community still seems to retain the status of "lol i am make my own gaemsr!!!"
