That looks like Z-Fighting. If you have two spheres there, the layers are too close together and too far away.

Fixed it by moving the terrain to 0,0,0 then pressing ctrl-z till my landscape was on the correct location again and it was fixed...weird..

If you hit 'z' it'll center your camera on the selected edge/object/whatever and then you can orbit that piece.

No, I mean the offset along Z axis So, the left part captures more "curvature" of hipoly than it should

check the orientation of the wheel bones. Try flipping their y axis and re-exporting. (assuming x forward z up.)
