I freaked out when I was 11 and reading the Exorcist and She starts f*cking Herself with a crucifix. Recently I read Stephen King's short stories and the Boogeymen got me having nighmares about a Monster in my closet. shakes head.....
Thanks monster :) Gsokol, I did check for hidden faces and overlapping verts - none for sure! But thanks for the reminder, because sometimes I do forget stuff like that. Wow, Ace-Angel, Xview looks awesome! I will now definitely be using that haha
True. But you're freelance building up something, so you have to have some reward from doing it right? A little removed from inner-office politics, but still an email away from the BS :P. Freelancing is a monster, even for the right client.
renderhjs, actually I have no problem with exporting textures with exporter I use. the problem was to replace address in material slot that refers to missed texture. which can be solve with Bitmap/Photometric Maps that monster told. thank you VERY much guys.
Hey, I could try to do the creatures. I'm relatively new to this, but I've done some monsters before. Can retopo, UV, bake highpoly to low, pose and paint diffuse/albedo texture if needed. But I'm not good yet with other textures/materials.
Finished result: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/QkZWr And blockout phase of big project we're doing in teams of 7 :). I'm responsible for enviroment art there. The big, white blocks are the monster (bigger one) fighting with the human ;). It's based on buddhist tale "Prince of Five Weapons"
Hi Monster, Thank you so much. Great advice and tips going to start working on it, right now. And Teriyaki, Thank you, I haven't tought about the editing at all. You are right i have to fix the sound. Thank you All. :)
annis hag the third! Roughed in some clothes and worked on the feet and hands. Next up is the hair and the "monster hand" (her left hand). Going to take a timeout and remake an IMM hand brush I made a while back with a hand, cause it's acting funny
I would say if you're taking anatomy courses, you're on the right track. Before you start tackling monsters, I would try and solidify your anatomy and proportion knowledge as best you can. Everything will fall in place after that. Good luck!
Happy Halloween! For last week I was painting 7 monsters for Wacom Halloween contest https://www.behance.net/portfolio/editor?project_id=30689555 and some process videos. Painted in Corel Painter :) https://youtu.be/Z4BpZXvlqyU https://youtu.be/TBAjFmkFCyo https://youtu.be/02Q0J1Qj_5c
