Sure. I totally agree with this. I would say this happens to about 70% of them. But to just say "They should have worked harder!" kinda gets under my skin. I knew some talented people that didn't ever get jobs and some slacker people did. Could I have worked harder? Maybe... but probably not without having mommy and daddy…
Thanks, Spicy for the feedback - I actually forgot about proportions ... But anyway I continued the process and made some other variants because when I did it in 3d it seems to me very boring and unimpressive. I checked some variants of main proportions and "visual flow"( variant 4 has a good dynamical align like a Steyr…
im using max. Basically we just have a rig that is too small, and I want to scale it up from 20cm long to an average arm length (which is about 70-80cm I would think). the size doesnt have to be exact, the whole rig just needs to be scaled linearly. also we do have some animations already made, so preserving those would be…
@Ashervisalis I wouldn't say I'm a huge fan, but I do enjoy quite a few of his songs. Party boat sounds like a lot of fun though, would love to do something like that. Small update this week, been getting on with Uni work and finding good weather for photogrammetry. Still need to clean up some data and plan for more…
Yeah it's definitely integrated, but they're not that bad to be honest. The 320M which is what I think Apple were using in 08 is better than the current Intel chips they're using (HD3000 or whatever they're called), I know that from experience. XCode is totally free, you can code and build your apps for free, but to 'sign'…
distiller - Awesome! thanks for the info! biofrost - If its fully deferred, then yes, that's a workflow could you do in theory. But whether or not you'd be able to get it to look good on consoles depends on how efficient the instruction counts are in UE4. For this up and coming generation of consoles any single pixel might…
marble? : ) There was a time where AAA term did not exist, not so long ago. A game was fun or was not, regardless of the budget. Yes the experience is subjective to the person who plays the game. But Just like food, just cause you are making caviar doesn't mean everyone will love it. Just like going at a pricy restaurant…
Hey [HP]! Thanks for the response. I added your category ideas to my list. :) Yeah i guess most artist are working on their own library and objects to help them on their projects. I think this might appeal to people that are just starting. Anyway Ill see as I go what Ill do. Thanks again and good luck with your Eat3d…
I studied Emotions in game design for my dissertation and part of it was analysing the game artists role in the creation of the game experience. I found textbooks that talk about a few ways in which games designers can be considered artists. “A close consideration of game space reveals a broad range of aesthetic…
I've been doing lots of overtime at work so there's not much to do really once I get home exhausted (9th day straight tomorrow). Due to that I've been playing A LOT of DC Universe Online. I haven't really liked an mmo or gotten into one in years. I played WoW to 70-something but never really enjoyed it. DCUO however, has…
