It would be easier if you post a link to a h264-encoded movie file (preferably mp4) in your Dropbox folder. As for the walk cycle: -- stride length is way too short -- cycle lacks weight because the hips don't have any up/down or side to side (this is crucial for the entire cycle -- the torso and head overlap derives from…
I think ideally you want to just do a optimized lowpoly and get a good highpoly from that (if we care mostly about efficiency, which is my standpoint, I need to do a lot of stuff in short time, so I make things to diminishing return) Im not sure If I am a big fan of making the highpoly first and trying to get a lowpoly…
Well youve started to sort out the form you want which is good. I'm assuming you are using some sort of reference or is it all out of your head? (correct answer: always use reference! XD) This sketch over is a lil messy so sorry hopefully its legible.... 1) The edgle loops on the top of the head are mashing near the…
I don't have any prior experience with the Volume Select modifier, and the Autodesk support page doesn't make it obvious how it would be useful in this situation. Could you give me a quick rundown of how it could be applied to this case? The printer I have does offer support structures (including "rafts"), but I want to…
hi folks, is there a way to edit an existing normal map in NDO without adding detail, I have this normal map with a few harsh lines I would just like to edit with the sliders in NDO but I cant get the existing normal to load as an editable tile. It seems that the sliders only work on new layers where detail wold be added…
It's a brush setting. I believe it's a slider under Brush>Modifiers>AutoMask Polygroup. I also made a button toggle if you don't want to mess with slider all the time. It's apart of my plugin in my sig. EDIT: Ninja'ed!
Hi there, this maybe a silly question but if i apply a material with tessellation (PN Traiangles) applied and move this slider. I have my mesh with wire-frame visible, should i be seeing the mesh get more subdivided, current this sliders not doing anything so i'm guessing i have something incorrect. Sorry if i'm being a…
awesome, would love to see sliders for tesselation control, how you would test out and showcase materials in marmoset, and some kind of tile slider like substance designer to check for repeating patterns. Looking at how a material reacts already in-engine would be killer!
hardware controls like this are cool in theory but i dont use them much. for things like knobs on midi keyboards i had one that had 20 knobs /sliders /pads. i ended up using the software sliders a lot more and automating them
Ahh yea that does work, I completely spaced it. I wasn't using a slider, I was using the Z position of an object to drive the wire parameter and was running into different problems. When I used a slider and converted to radians it works like nezach said. Cool!
