What about enabling AA in Max? I read somewhere you could force it through the NVidia Control Panel just like you would for a game (if you have an NVidia card of course), but it didn't work for me.
I would not use physics to do this as simulations are too unreliable. I would animate the pillar being destroyed using matinee. To control the collision you could enable and disable the collision on some blocking volumes placed in the world.
Tried out the LSD plugin. Was neat for a few minutes (though would've prefered if it integrated into maxs defaults instead of having to be enabled for each use), but then it killed/locked all maxs shortcuts so now I have to reinstall
I had a dream last night that I attached the nozzle from an airhorn to a can of spray paint and it enabled me to shoot a precise spray about 100 or so feet. Actually the PSP campaign paid for the spots as well
Yes indeed! I made a morph target for the mouth completely open and another at about half-way open. I stored them both on ZBrush layers so I could enable and disable them as I went along. Thanks for the comment!
Gonzo: The characters support several headgear types: Hats, scarves, glasses, etc. And these can be set to be user enabled at the same type if they don't cause clipping issues Shiv, I will try and find out the answer to that and get clarification for you as soon as possible.
If each material is using a different map, click the options button and make sure sRGB is enabled for both albedo maps. If you accidentally loaded the albedo into the normal map or gloss slot it may have been flagged as linear space (sRGB off).
Hello Joakim! Ah you're right. Doesn't seem to work with UE4 landscapes or BSP though? I'm only getting it enabled when I've got a model selected. Yeah I'm doing some research for the Real Time Strategy game project.
It's because the light rays is a screen effect, whereas tiledshot basically renders multiple "screens" and stitches them together. If the light shafts were enabled here, they'd probably repeat on the screen in some weird way. Basically the engine can't handle it :P
Of course it's not definitive proof, and having a portfolio to showcase your work is your ultimate line of defense. But at least it enables you to say (if asked why your work has popped up elsewhere) "well, i posted it here in a give away thread".
