Hey thanks man, liking that new bunny! MMmmm such military pockets, much amaze! Wash: "A man walks down the street in that hat, people know he's not afraid of anything." Day 48-49 lunch Study 2015.
Awesomeness. For a game made in 48 hours its bloody good man. I was hoping more of the objects would have other puzzle uses, but I expect that's what you intended if you had more time...right?
I got: Purchased for mom: and a whole bunch of T-38 Stuff for dad. Pilot training Videos and flight manual on DVD, 1-48 scale model, poster, art print. Now just need the GF and friends.
The polygon distribution is not even, the front barrel tip is abot 48 edges around, the big hole the scope looks through only has 24 edges around and is bigger. The lense reflection disortion can all be done via a normalmap.
I'm posting some prints of the environment, he was giant, and do it in less than 48 hours was a crazy thing. It was worth it because it was a great learning muto and a short time. :)
yes, your low poly shouldn't have nearly as much segments as your highpoly. That could be maybe a 16-32 sided cylinder for instance (but with much more on the lip of the cylinder, like 48-64 since its quite large in diameter)
For something like this I think you'd want to make a tiling texture and base it around a specific kind of mesh. An awesome example of this is what Jessica Dinh has done here: http://www.polycount.com/forum/showpost.php?p=1686072&postcount=48
I found an amazing flickr group. It has over 48 thousands images of military vehicles from museums. I'm currently working my way through and grabbing my favourites. https://www.flickr.com/groups/1248163@N22/pool/massimofoti
