looks so so so soooo cute (hug it and keep it i dont like the flying wings though, wings are too commonly used, i will give you an idea, make it as if it's flying in space with the whatever glass circle around him zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz (now pay me money for ideas lol!
Seems to me the wings look decent but the fuselage needs to look more... well like the wings. Also when you user colors - try making them pop more. Brighter, near neon I'd say. Give it that Tron look so it will really draw your eye to the important bits.
"I saw this and thought of you." You seem to have gotten the knee rings done correctly from what I can see, but the arm rings are done incorrectly. As it stands you look to be having the arms bending backwards, which is not what you want. Swap those around mate! Here:
Are you allowed to tell us what sort of polycounts you're using on those Bond Girls, Daz. I would have assumed they were high poly if you hadn't said otherwise. Superb work mate. [ QUOTE ] Daz...? As in Daz King? [/ QUOTE ]Daz King is called Kingofdaveness here.
What kind of secondary reflection is better for such type of material? "newton rings" or maybe "mirror"? When i apply this effect i should tweak reflection and roghness again. :( Anyway i should do something with its specularity. Forgot to remove newton rings from black areas. Waiting for your ideas.
i think a pose using his wings would work best. like showing them in action with possibly a classic super hero pose where one leg is bent and the other is straight, showing him move forward. but i think anything having his wings in action would be the coolest in general.
sorry for double posting but does anyone know where theres good wings modeling tutorials for human sculptures? ive checked some threads...none..and the ones that are there suck :'(, anyways..i seem to like wings so far..pretty simple. just need some good tuts and im on my way
No Gordon model Im afraid no. I must have something wrong with my cable, since even joining games that say the ping is in the 20's, my ping is always an unplayable 200+. Weird. Oh well, looks like a lot of fun. Just have to figure out my cable here.
You had basically one pixel or less on UV/texture on the portions that mattered - the inner rings, so there was not enough information for a good bake. I suggest keeping all inner rings on a separate smoothing group, and on separate UV shells, you could arrange them as a long horizontal strip. This way there'll be enough…
You might have the proof in your shot above, but it'll always look weird to me cause if you placed a character on the edge of the ring right next to your hanging ducts....the dude could just reach out and grab em or hit his head......that is the main area that I think needs to be addressed.....you mentioned the ring might…
