Here is my submission for the 3rd Speed Art Challenge. Time: 1 hour, 15 min. The key words made me think of a fortune cookie joke a made a while back. Enjoy. Comments and Critiques are welcome of course.
Thanks! Been experimenting with dark polymer and metal base textures. I think the polymer came out alright, but the metal is not where I want it. Should probably be a darker diffuse to better match the look of AR-15 metal.
There is swearing and some pretty gory default heroes/abilities so I would say 15+ by my countries standards. and along those lines: This looks fucking awesome! turned out even better than I expected.
30 mins: Sorted out a few areas trying to get abit of shape and form. Mainly concentrated on getting the fingers right but still they look off. I'm gonna Take a little break then hit back at it in 15 Min.
I just tried this out and wow it's really good I'll be using it from now on created the main pit building in the photo in about 15-20 mins when I had all of my pieces set out
since your guy is kinda dinoish might be cool to look at this guys work http://www.zbrushcentral.com/showthread.php?56604-wip-(nudity)&pp=15&highlight=skin%20alpha also Thane: (are you going to have to texture him?)
This doesn't look like a challenge that a lone 3D artist should enter. This is for helmet & attachment manufacturers. Unless you have a solid industrial design background, and are working with a team that can fabricate 15 physical copies of the finished design.
Yeah.. I discovered that late night modeling isn't the best idea. When I went to bed I laid down for 15 minutes and then it hit me: 'reset Xform' So yeah.. kinda stupid but thanks for the help!!
Yeah, definitely. If you haven't played it yet, you should pick it up. Actually, donating 15 bucks to the KS gets you the original and the possible sequel, so it's a pretty good deal if you haven't played it yet.
