Why don't we just combine the two months together for a big competition? Start of the new year strong. CNY ends Jan 15, so that would leave 16 days until feb competition. If you combine jan and feb we can have a bigger competition like couriers or sets(depending on the competition). 59 or 44 days depending one whether it…
I'm not sure about those specifics but it does create a joint system that isnt broken up or fancy and can be exported to Unity fine. So i'd assume yes. Just a heads up currently winding down hopefully on the project so I'll be having free time very soon to do my first twitch videos on this thing. I'll possibly be releasing…
Agreed with Beezul, I would highly recommend that tut. I have neve seen it before, but it gives you a good idea how to get simple lighting down. Simple shapes, that read from afar are good. I will be back next week after e3, Friday June 14th. I will make a google hangout and we will all jam :) Edit: I think your textures…
Ok so the 3d plans are scrapped in preference of doing something way cooler. Not ready to share those plans yet. Can't have people jumping the gun on me with this one. But i did just release a new build which you can read about here: http://colourconstructor.com/home/version-1-2 Also i have a 35% off sale until the 20th if…
Hey Polycounters. Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for taking a look at this thread, and for all your comments. Our "Dodge 'em Up" trailer was posted on Game Trailers recently, so if you haven't had a chance, please check it out. Also, we're putting together a Thunderclap campaign to help spread word about the game's…
I really love your art direction and feel here. FWIW, my favorite look is actually your shots in this post: http://polycount.com/discussion/comment/2618996/#Comment_2618996 I find the screenshots in this post to be very bloom-y and blown out, and they don't have the range of value that the original shots had. Even your…
Dynamesh is based on mesh scale. If your model is enormous coming out of Max, then the projection grid will be much denser even at very low resolutions. Try scaling your model down by 1/10 or even 1/100th the size and freeze Xforms; or in ZBrush if you don't care about the size of your model compared to your source model…
sltrOlsson: Seen that thread already and was quite informative to solve another, more annoying, problem I came across during the buildup Process. Thank you nonetheless! General: *fuuuuuuuuu* I just noticed they had a "Hardcore Modelling Challenge: SciFi Icon" on CGTalk running which ended on March 15th... Ah well...…
Awesome thanks, I'm going to look into that. I've got a 3TB NAS (with room for more), but I'm currently paying for the 1TB/$10/m google drive account, so I'm only baking up the *really* important stuff remotely which I regret. It would be great to use a service that scales, with google I've got to jump to the 10TB/$100/m…
