Thanks a lot everyone for your comments, much appreciated! Still working on the gladiator. Meanwhile, here's some progress on the sphynx lady, which I'm sculpting on my free time to relax. Planning to add wings, but now focused on her body. Thanks for reading!
You should try to find Andrew Loomis references instead of relying on the existing ZBrush references. There's gestural information about the way the S and C silhouette curves of the human body as it stands relaxed you're not quite getting. His drawings show that really well.
this looks amazing man...may be you could try to make her look more relaxed..right now her face looks a bit pinched to the nose area.not sure.have a check over there yourself.apart from this its coming along nicely.! Keep it up.
@Thistle Hey, cool work so far. Something about your hammock isn't sitting right with me. I think where the strings connect to the hammock, that bit should be more relaxed, whereas right now it seems to have something keeping it open.
Just get some good ref. This is one of my favorites ( linking because the image is way too big) http://www.zanedevon.com/images/blog/MaleHandReference.jpg You want to get a natural relaxed pose something like this: Here is a female hand ref as well:
model Day Five An Iron Horde desktop PC to go with the monitor. 300 tris get spent crazy fast. As such, there's nothing inside except hopes and dreams. I'll put something in there when the whole scene is assembled and the polycount limit is kinda relaxed a bit.
Working on pose. Pose: He just finish one more battle.
Relaxing under the tree (pedestal).
Now he realized, he is very closed to complete his target.
Holding same flower in his hand by looking at it... he miss his fiancee.
When you make UVs.for the ground, use as few seams as possible. Cut the UVs in hidden areas. Relax the UVs to minimize distortions. Design the ground mesh so you have grooves or other areas where you can hide the UV seams.
Thanks for the feed back, It's amazing what a fresh pair of eyes can give you. I'll spend some time fixing these problems, I'm not really sure how to relax the characters posture thou, I'm pretty new to zbrush, any idea's? C
First wanted to create an army version, but I like the original design too much. Also working on an asset that's already designed is relaxing :D First wip. Realy early. Just started to make a 3D concept, so I know what to do.
