seriously take cryengine or unreal or whatever engine that has better lighting and shading then max, the shader is still looking very plastic with greyish darker tones or bake a proper lighting with mr into another uv channel, right now it imho just looks bad and that not because of the single assets.
Ha fair enough, thanks for the reply. I'm not much on the technical side of game stuff when it comes to lighting and engines. I've been a vis guy (arch and otherwise) for about 6 years so sometimes I get lost outside my vray/mr comfort zone.
also got a French Press, some cool shirts (tool, batman)...and the Mrs. is about to whip up some homemade biscuits and gravy.. it's funny. We got our daughter one of these ([ame] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ajNaKoWUe3w[/ame]) in her stocking, and she's scared to death of it
I'm sorry but any company that employs Mr Bean deserves not to be taken seriously.. which would explain the rather large development bill. And way to go to design something the high flat sides, might as well paint a bloody bullseye on there with "kiss my barrel" written underneath *rolleyes*
Great stuff Snowfly. Have you checked out the cars in Frank Miller/Geof Darrow's 'Hard Boiled'?? They've got the same kinda retro vibe goin' on, also a comic called 'Mr X' has retro-flying cars. Comics heh, a mis-spent youth...
Yes bodypaint can do this. Like you said, just make a multisub material with one texture pure material, and assign by ids. Mr Mint has three textures, and I painted in bodypaint. I plan to have my bodypaint video tutorial done within a month.
Yep, it's true, in some cases Scanline will be slower when compared to Mental-Ray. I can vouch for this, uptil today I feel the pain of having to bum rush a project of mine in post-work because I didn't use MR and it took twice as long to render.
OMGI went to 3.1 in demon souls.. wtfbbq tentacle face arrgghh.. bought dark souls today.. LIM ED version comes with a pretty little concept art book.. Ive got the mrs to hide it... and can only get it back when demon souls is finished..
Hi Mr Smo, thanks for the comments! Yeah I see what you mean about the sky and the wood. I've been meaning to look into doing a skybox too, I definitely want to make my own one. I'll see what I can do!
Thanks Poop. I can't for the life of me find a good tutorial on 'modern' poly babe-making like THIS KILLER model I see in this thread. Most of my limited character making came from Mr. Steed (great artist, but that book is archaic to today's standards).
