Started using the Unity 4 beta. I really like the new Mecanim animation system. It's very similar to Natural Motion's Morpheme, but with fewer options. I consider that a good thing, because Morpheme has a tendency to overwhelm anybody that starts using it. I had a character walk/run blending with jumping and upper body…
This isn't advice because I'm a few rungs below you on the ladder, but I wanted to say great presentation on the website. Really well thought out. Besides that, I appreciate the design choices of your characters, particularly the "sympathetic orc." :) Good luck!
Her kneepads should reflect the design of the shoulderpads. Well, more like the whole greaves armor. Her shoulderpads are quite round and smooth and of high rank and fine craft... ya know, not the crude and brutal piece from Orcs' or Goblins' craftings. lol
I like it! Looks exactly like something my master chef orc hunter would be cooking up  if anything, might I suggest more leafy greens on the plate? I know those elves are always trying to watch their waistline
Love the rugged strong trellis like metalwork, I think wrought iron always reads as very strong and the angular nature here compliments the orc type character. Its the clean design work more than anything else that sells this piece.
An older contribution to Orcs Must Die 3 that I forgot to upload. I love doing lighting, really hoping to get the chance to do more soon. Worldbuilding.... is a staple in my career these days! https://www.artstation.com/artwork/xY3ZVY?fbclid=IwAR00Baae41ApKK63McLs92J9D8ZnB3O1-pYTguCYfM0OB0Wd1stR1xMQ8TM
When you look at this scene you created does it feel - used ? or lived in by people, employee's, customers? the usual things like napkin stands that are usually present menu's + do not seem to be present, i know this stuff takes a long time, this is why many mention that references guides and collecting and or studying…
Quick blocking in for the Orc character, but I have a question before I continue: What do I want my polycount to look like for a PC game in Unity? I've looked up TF2 and it seems that under 10k is a good restriction, is that the case?
because you tend to avoid that stuff to the sides of the six packs, and don't define things much: theres a lot of stuff to the sides of the abdominals that makes it more interesting here also is the orc wow texture, thought it might serve as a good reference as well
might put some personal experience in here. i was once forced to split up my sleeping time into two 4-hour chunks a day and after a bit more then a week i was completely destroyed. i was sleepy all the time, and i had to drive a longer distance, wich was pretty dangereous, and that was when i made the changes to get into…
