All my magic/enchanted weapons have come from me exploring and closing the various Oblivion gates around the agme world. Typically there are at least 3 enemies in each plane that have a unique weapon. Hell, I got so many cool weapons that I managed to become the Grand Champion in the arena with minimal effort. Although, I…
I don't know anything about the job market, I'll just make some general assessment of the models. The revolvers are the strongest piece IMO. I think the materials are nice and no edges jump out as being wrong. Most of the models come short of AAA quality though. Maybe that's fine and you can still get a job, I have no idea…
Okay finally back to my work station. I was so anxious to show my model before I left for business that I didn't cover all my bases. I just sort of assumed everyone would just sort of "get it", but communication is important. And "lol punch shotgun" is not enough communication, and running between connecting flights is not…
Just gave it a go. I was kinda hoping for more of a "hey lets go back in time and F stuff up!" kind of feel. But it was pretty fun mowing down enemy soldiers with those overpowered guns. It'd be kinda cool if enemies after X kills in Y seconds would just turn tail and run from you, and the game became a sadistic "run down…
Wow! Looks great. The back of the head looks a bit too dark though, are those just the shaders from rendering? I still have no idea what the rules are about weapons matching, or not matching the helmet of a set, but if weapons are supposed to be universal, the blue gem on the sword could be colored a bright gold or silver,…
[ QUOTE ] Those things at the front and the end of the scope are not "caps" on top as in your model but the actual scope. I have never seen the weapon in real-life, but I bet that it is a cylinder that you can pull out of the weapon by removing one of these "front/back" things. [/ QUOTE ] I've never seen one in person,…
Day 5: Today I tried to finish of the vectorizing part and tried to position the design onto the gun, but did not have much luck unfortunately. What the problem is, is that the weapon design needs to flow or feel as if it is a part of the weapon and not just 'dumped' onto the weapon, so what I will do is restart the draft…
Looking forward to seeing the weapon finished and what pose you choose to show it off. That moodboard seems to ring pretty true with what Bardler said about a strong key light too — maybe the pose with the weapon will be ideal for that too (like the image in the bottom right corner). But I expect I'll see you playing…
@quockhanhlk, I don't think there are any. It's a Valve concept for a weapon. Best bet is probably just to DL the Sven pack and try to match that weapon. As I mentioned earlier, it's a tad confusing because the colors don't match Sven's. But it's clearly a weapon for him. So IMO the final texture shouldn't even be red even…
Well, it seems like your portfolio is only geared for weapons artist positions. I would remove the sackboy since it's not relevant. If you want to apply to more broad env artist positions, you need more environments and props in your folio. Some of the weapons look unfinished as well so I would remove them til the textures…
