Looks good :) I'm wondering might be something messy with that screenshot, but I think maybe you can remove some poly's on the top and end of the bat. And maybe remove some of those edge loops I am no sure if I am seeing :P I made a little paint over in paint to show where I mean. -

Well the reason ptex removes the need for uvs is because it auto unwraps, and only does it nicely when working with quads, any software could easily auto unwrap your model. The concept of 3d painting is what really removes the need for manual uv layout, unfortunately there arent really any good tools for 3d painting yet. -

I'm pretty sure this is caused by the interpolation from vertex to fragment and therefore it's your Input struct you should be looking at. Try sharing uvs for diffuse and normal textures and remove world normal/position if possible. You could also try disabling lightmaps using the "nolightmap" param for your surface… -

just load ur set, select all and deselect ur brush, delete, save set as.... then load it to ur existing set. not as easy as should be but totally do-able. i wish they would put back CTRL-clicking on a brush or a color swatch to remove it. now why, what hostile, bitter, prickless pimply bitch decided to remove it?? why? -

Suggestion: Recognize mesh without suffix as lowpoly for the baker.
When i want to send something to bake in marmoset i always need to dublicate the lowpoly or change the name after exporting to remove the ''_low'' suffix.
