a AAA company offering you 20K is a joke. I bet you that they will try and make you work 80 hour weeks too, and when you complain they'll say that "it's part of being in the game industry". I suggest you keep looking, 20k a year is pathetic. You shouldn't take anything under 40K in my opinion.
haha. I like the 80's retro look tho... my old Sony stereo tower had this look ;) but it's still much nicer than the wii dev kit. We do have some PS3 debug stations which look similar (or maybe this is a debug station?). But the current devkit looks like the PS3 slim (nice!).
You talk as if Viva Pinata was a bad game. I'm 35 so I don't see them as suddenly getting good in the 90's, I thoroughly enjoyed Slalom, Wizards & Warriors, RC Pro-Am and many other 80's titles. Are you sure the slowing output isn't a result of the increased time & budget to make games?
Well, if the companies that made original games don't complain or have anything against Gameloft then it doesn't really matter what games they rip off and they'll just keep doing it. As ridiculous as this all may be, I'm just glad I played 80% of the games listed above on a PC and not on an iPhone/iPad with sub-par…
companies that supported LGBT rights in the 80's should be commended, if a company supports them now it's because it's more risky to oppose them. I haven't played it, but if Bioshock Infinite is the first main stream game to actually address racism, well, you can extrapolate the time frame LGBT rights will be addressed in…
Hi, The geometry and texture limitations for the pedestal are quite tight compared to the ones for the beast. Is it possible to use unnecesary budgets from the character for the pedestal? For example: The beast - 3x 4k maps and 80 000 polys. The pedestal - 1x 2k, 1x 4k maps and 25 000 polys. This would help to integrate…
sounds like a modern re-worked version of the hedge fund :poly121: Note that there are now crowd-funding advisory services that are paid services :poly122: while 80% to 90% of crowd-funding projects fail. Honestly the house always wins and money makes the world go around  [ame]…
Thank you all for the kind words and critiques, I agree on the "paint" look of the face, I think it's because the final .psd has nearly 80 adjustment layers :D I tried to filter it in a way to simulate the washed out colors of the TV show. Later today I will post some zBrush image and some wip render.
An I7 isn't a need, but I sure do love having one. A 3770/4770 isn't thattttt expensive, just about $80 more than the I5 the OP has picked out. It really depends on what you do, I've been doing some video production stuff lately and I really appreciate my I7.
Progress update: Fixing some of the more obscure formatting conversion problems still seems to require a level 80 Perl Sorcerer but I have found a way to bulk upload all the attachments which is nice. Most links to images will have to be cleaned up as they broke in a few different ways but at least we don't have to upload…
