I used mudbox 1.07 in Vista 64 and as fast and stable as with XP 32bits. No problems here with 64 bits. -

So do you texture it higher than 64*64 than scale it down? Or do you bring the uvs in to a map that small? -

Modular pieces are Instances so they are only called once (as are the associated texture maps) Lightmap UVs on longer parts doesn't matter as you can non-uniformly scale out of ratio. Lightmaps can be a pain on modular parts. The best thing to do is take what you've learned from the UE docs and do some testing. It's time… -

SSD+Win7 will add a nice noticeable difference to the overall "snappiness" of your system, I did that with my Intel Q6600/8gb system(was using xp 64 previously) Upgrading to 8GB is a good idea too, esp if you're going to win7 64 bit. I would do SSD+Win7+new ram as a "quick fix" but you're still going to be looking at a… -

Two Listen, what version of Windows are you running and is it 32 or 64 bit? It won't do you any good to upgrade if you're PC isn't 64 bit.
