I'd be realllyyyy suprised to see someone get in under 18 even at 18 i'd be suprised to see someone ready for pro work . There are however lots of very talented young people out ther I mean look at Joe Mad's he was working at Marvel comics at age 16...
Hey everyone! Been around for a while, but first time posting. Here's a character I'm currently working on. It's based on the main character from Weta's Dr. Grordbort comics, Lord Cockswain. Latest update (check more below!): Feel free to crit and let me know what you think! Cheers
Hi! This is a current project i'm working on at the moment for my uni showreel. Eventually I'd like it to be a full character. It's still fairly rough, and i'm thinking of editing the shape of the lower jaw so it resembles his comic book appearance a little more. I'd love some feedback before I start blocking out the main…
Ok, so no one remembered it in chat. Which made me feel suddenly ancient. Anyone remember and was a fan of: Adventures of the Galaxy Rangers To those not in the know. Think Cowboy Bebop mixed with Star Wars and a Marvel Superhero comic. Throw in some good drama, westerns, and backstory. You have the Rangers. (And decent…
Hi, this is my 2nd serious attemp at modelig a low poly human character. I know the proportions are off, but i used a comic book character reference. I'm mainly intersted in how well i have achived mesh flow. My goal is to create a mesh that will deform well when animated. Comment's and crits are welcome.
I still think that in general that realsitc 3d humans look a little comical, once they are rigged and skiweighted . The more relaistic you 'try' to make them the more disppointment you are likely to feel. I am sticking to more stylised stuff for sure. Nahh thats not true I am doing environmental art at the moment
Ive seen people do some interesting illustration stuff with it. One guy I know syncs it up with zbrush to create costume bits and other details, then poses the characters with it for quick illustration/comic layouts. Its super convoluted but it works for him. But yeah its mostly used for trash deviant art.
Wow, I didn't know someone had taken up the mantle after this: http://www.polygon.com/comics/2015/8/17/9164977/batman-lenny-robinson-killed-accident Very nice work on the Batmobile. Looking forward to seeing some pics when they finish building the real thing based off it :)
Very soon! Hopefully after next week. I am also preparing a mel toolbox for lots of usefull things, like exposure and environment replacement. Work is a caos and I am with a crazy freelance job on the side for comic-con, 4 days without sleep. But it should be all over next week.
this is looking sweet kend! agree about the purple, if it was move of a comic book style i would say stick with the brightness, but the realistic look needs it toned down abit imo. although i REALLY wanna see what this looks like in black! just using the different materials to add some contrast!!
