Gir, just read the first Gotrek Omnibus and have to say it was quite a fun read. Snorri is comical, as is the skaven society. Bunch of backstabbing little rats. Anyway, to stay on topic I'll probably check this movie out even though I have never read the books. It looks average at best.
Sure this is just a corporate trick to get us to by the game, but IS IT NOT AWESOME? Honestly. I mean i'd rather they just made an entire starwars fighting game instead (with characters from both sagas, and various comic characters) But this is fucking sweet, still. I for one look forward to punting yoda with mitsurugi
Nice job, thanks for sharing your progress! One thing I can't get over is the size of the iris', they are comically large. Now I understand if you're going for a cartoony look, it looks totally fine Compare the amount of sclera (the whites of the eyes) you see to this pic of Tom Hiddleston
Great idea, let skillz do the talking. Rhianna "Fealasy" Moller concept artist, one of my favourite artists in general; We also had some female Setdressers on ROTT, Vanessa Reynolds & Mona Huang. And one of our concept artists & comic artist Isabel Alonso Mej
Revisited the pants and cleaned up some of the other pieces after the holidays. Thinking I might wrap up the sculpt. It was good practice in clothing. I still need to do the low poly and texture and I would like to jump in on the Comic con challenge if I can. Cheers guys!
This is awesome stuff! I love the realism, wrinkles, unevenness, human flaws in the characters' faces and bodies. Also Saga is a fantastic comic; I think that's the first 3D model fan art I've seen! I've read every issue and am still waiting to find out what became of The Will!
I think Manga Studio can do symmetry and it's pretty popular in the comic book industry for it's fantastic inking brushes. I've got Manga Studio 4 at home, I mainly bought it because it was on sale for crazy cheap, I've dabbled in it a bit but I've barely used a tenth of it's features.
http://p3d.in/FsLDb This website is awesome, threw last year's comic con model up there. The future is awesome! This great resource looks like it has spawned a string of amazing uploads on facebook also. So awesome to be able to rotate around other people's awesome work. Very inspiring.
The top image is the weakest of them. The others are quite great and you have a nice comic book penciler feel in the later illustrations. I understand the top one is a WIP, though. Just tighten up those details and choose a primary light source to help pop your artwork out.
Nah, IMHO his proportions are all fine for a kinda halfway-mix of realism and comic-book style. If the legs and lower body were enlarged I fear it'd become too "generic superhero" and look out of place, especially considering the clothing and gun. But yeah, unbreak his ankle
