It looks like your green texture there, which I'm assuming is the IDs is the problem. You need solid colors there and I can see baking errors. Everywhere I see those errors, I see the same problems in your texture there.
I'm gettting this when I go to load the .dlu: I changed it from _6up to see if it was a name error. I'm not familiar with Max errors, plug-in creation, or the like so any insight CrazyButcher would be great. Thanks again John!
Excellent chair. I have a problem with smoothing errors too. You just have to make the best of it. Besides once you texture it you barely notice those errors in a still shot, but in game you might have some problems.
I also had this errore even with maya 5 files loaded in maya 6...this usually happens when you have a null node in the scene. The scenes always seemed to work fine each time i had this error though.
[ QUOTE ] I cant run the new 2.6 version of CrazyBump I get these errors [/ QUOTE ] I am getting the same error, I am running Vista, it apears to be a vista issue. I used to use the program fine in xp.
So I´m doing a school project and need to import an obj file that was made in maya into 3ds max2011. But after I specify what I want to import I get this error, "ERROR - invalid normal index". If anyone has had this problem and been able to solve it then I would be grateful for tips.

Hey PC's. I need to export some models from Max 7 as .mdl files. However, Im getting a biped error (please see image) I get this error even when I just open a new file and make just the biped. Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks, todd
Thanks for the new download link, that installer works perfectly. Is there a way for you to add a fix for the viewport display errors? If I harden some edges, then add an Edit Normals modifier, this fixes the errors. But it would be great if your script made the fix automatically instead.
This reference[/QUOTE] is the best I could get for that part. It is supposed to be sharper, so I'll fix that. As for the error, that's actually just a lighting error in Marmoset. I think it's because I wasn't using any UVs. Edit: I fixed the edge around the hole
