You don't need 1100watt, seriously. Bigger numbers are not better when it comes to PSU's. I run 4 HD's and a GTX280 that requires two power connectors off "just" 550w, but I made sure it's a decent brand (Seasonic). Just get something like 650w or so. -

Quadros are not really expensive if you buy Oem products in ebay (i bought a new fx 5500 for less than 400 euro some years ago, brand DELL). For architectural 3d works, in max, are very useful (a need i'd say), but for game art.. errr unless you buy one of the latest quadro.. they are shit. I have one fx3500 and anothet… -
