So you say that DX11 barely effects the silhouette, yet the video link there shows some pretty sever changes at the end at the edge of the tower and the dragon.

Update! Retopology done!, finished the 'dragon' part and with that the whole retopo, I did a little bit cleaning, currently I have around 25k tris. Now UV-time! :D
I always like the classic dragon door. But it's kind of overdone that you should make a twist to it. What about...a sea serpent with whiskers for door handles. Other than that, looks promising.

You won't get anywhere near that level of detail from Shapeways. The price seems about consistent with the high res prints we were getting for How to Train your Dragon.
