Tiled roofs and stuff like that can probably come from materials - with generic stuff like this I doubt it's really necessary to be doing these things… -

18 is alright, though you also have to be careful to not have too many unnecessarily simple pieces. You can make normal maps from photos if you know how to recognize errors and fix any that appears.
