Did the first test texture with dDo for the canon itself today: I will add some srews or levels on the rear part, so it's a removable panel. Also have to update the Hyperion-Logo. The pistons should be round, but due to some baking issues they now appear cornerd.. which I like :)
Hello everyone! I'm still a bit early on with the texture. I'm really trying to nail the wood burn effect around the Gas Boy logo and the wear on the metal. If anyone has any thoughts on how I can really push the realism and believability on the texture I am all ears!
Thank you very much jramauri. I think you might be right, especially when it comes to making a silhouette. I'll probably paint them again and see if I can improve them. I've done just about everything in this logo at least twice trying to get it right. :)
I've been using open broadcaster for all my screen recording. It's nice cause you can even put a logo or other stuff over the recording beforehand and then the speed it up in movemaker or something. Also the recording doesn't have to be full source quality, it can be whatever you want.
Apple slogans for the new year: "Apple: If we knew slapping logos on superior PC hardware would be so effective we'd have done it years ago." "Apple: Pretend (We're) Different." "Apple: Insulting our own hardware since 2006." "Apple: Like Acer, only shinier."
Thats awesome. I bet it saves on storage space. Best thing about having a kid is that I get to buy toys for her "for when she is older" ie. for me heheh. I went nuts buying logo and all sorts of other toys I loved as a kid lol.
Forgot to post this on here when this went up! Latest blog post, a bit of a post-mortem/look back on the creation of the Benghazi map I worked on in Splinter Cell Blacklist: http://jobyek.blogspot.com/2016/08/a-look-back-splinter-cell-blacklist.html Yes, there is a logo hidden somewhere in the map :)
Cool, I'd try to get a bit more contrast in your image though, If it's UDk try using the cinematic tonemapper in post processing. Also, perhaps my personal preference, but I'd have added some more decals and signs to it, perhaps even a bold color with a unit logo or something..
UPDATE - New wood with logo saturated the blood on the wrap, and made "fresh spots" where the tape was moved lightened up background. turned down the AO in a few spots Also created a custom lighting scene in Marmoset for more control. Another ideas to made it look more bad ass?
How much nature stuff do you guys have at the moment? The picture with the megascans logo has a jungle environment, so you obviously have some. Most of the nature related textures seems to be of the exotic nature. Could we maybe get a sneak peek at what you have?
