I never did an exact comparison but my guess you would be perfectly fine with your default zoom lens once you are not actually using zoom within a single photo series. I agree with my fellow tin-hatters. I haven't had a needle touch me other than checkup blood work in over 6 years and don't think I have ever once had the flu.
