Hey Selaznog, which brushes have you been using so far? I would probably recommend trying the Claytubes brush to build up your main shapes then going over those with a planar brush to give you the crisper edges and nice angles. Depending on the finish you want you could then overlay some finer detail using rock or stone… -

Why use Turbosmooth? If it isn't looking right without Turbosmooth, it won't look right with it. The more polys you have, the harder it is to get shapes correct. And Psyk0 nailed - this is a statue. You can't model it like a person. You wouldn't model a rubber duck like you would a real duck. So don't try and model a stone… -

vig- i see what you are saying but i find it much better (a better idea of what an object looks like in realtime) looking at it in realtime. and you can do all those things with directx shaders. thats all. mooses paintover is nice, very dark crystal. id definatly think about sprucing up the stone work,maybe think about it… -

II don't think ACES is a tone mapper , it's rather what they say Color Encoding Standard we already had gazillion before. The one that stores linear true color values whatever energy the light source is. Still whatever different way colors had been encoded in your files with properly set color management you have to see… -
