Oglu - I set the subdivision iterations to 3 in arnold and checked auto bump like the tutorial suggested Musahidan - The tutorial suggested a mid value of .5 from zbrush balanced with a -.5 in the scalar zero value. Not sure if thats the issue and I should be just extracting it at 0 mid value and then leaving the scalar…
Looks more like ingame art then fan art :D Fantastic job. The only thing giving away that its not ingame is the highres orc face. Ingame you can always tell how old the models are, the 5 year old parts look rather well... 5 years old :D the characters included.
Carmack said it might be implemented in a very limited form in the next 5 to 10 years. As in, still not competitive with even today's AA titles (not to mention how far those games will ge tin 5 to 10 years). Maybe you wish to watch the Q&A section at Quakecon and a recent interview where he's talking about this.
5 mins nop , 1 to 2 mintues. Just tewaking crazybump settings and use it to generate the heights etc with some quick tweaking. Also that wouldnt go ingame in most games unless you could afford to waste 5 texture calls for a tree , might look good, but doubt much games would do that.
Nono I you have fun clicking (selecting) many layers one after the other, you'll notice that it doesnt necessarily go back to the last one you selected. (in my case I selected layer 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, worked on 5, ctrl-alt-z > went back to 3)
Yea, I've seen that. unfornately you cannot use renderdoc as easy as it used to be with gta 5 since you cannot directly attach to gta 5 anymore.. but yes I am familiar with the graphics study and how the direct shader pipeline works for gta and I would like to integrate that into 3ds max myself
I have selected 5 of Workshop Skins that I believe are perhaps 5 of the best skins I have Created among a bunch of my submissions. I've put the Link to each selected skin in the poll according to where they are. Here's my complete workshop for all other skins I didn't include in this…
I am using Maya and have ran into a problem that is really starting to bug me. Can you extend the texture beyond 0 to 1 without it tiling (filling a full range of 5 to -5)? It only tiles outside of 0 to 1 for me right now. I have gone to image>image range [/]>fit to grid. Still nothing... Any help much appreciated, thanks.
